Gene Thompson-Grove
An educator for 45+ years, Gene has been a middle and high school teacher, district public school administrator, and educational consultant and coach. She has worked in public and independent schools, as the Director of Professional Development in Brookline, MA, and as a Clinical Professor and Senior Associate at Brown University. She currently has her own consulting practice, working with educators to create school cultures that support transformational learning. Gene coaches educators and facilitates seminars on leading for educational/racial equity, creating intentional learning communities, engaging in reflective practice, developing facilitative leadership skills, designing and facilitating transformational adult learning experiences, learning from students’ work, and using a neurodevelopmental lens to understand and support students. Gene earned a B.A. in English and Secondary Education from Boston College and an M.Ed. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
