All three clinics are offered from 9-11:30 AM. \nWhether you’re new to riding or you’ve been shredding for years\, develop skills to safely enjoy mountain biking on a variety of trails\, through rock gardens\, and beyond. Maintain an adventurous spirit and embrace the ‘challenge by choice’ motto as you set your own pace and explore features and challenges. Coaches offer personalized feedback that improves technique\, increases confidence\, and builds community. \n \nEssentials (Adult)\nReview and practice the essentials in a controlled environment as you focus on the importance of body positioning and technical skills such as braking\, shifting\, and steering. This clinic includes small features\, drills\, and demonstrations. \n \nIntro to Jump (Adult)\nMake progress with fellow riders as you go from wheel lifts to bunny hops to small gap jumps. These clinics explore the mechanics of taking off and safely landing on flats and descents. Expand your riding capabilities to confidently hit trail features you wouldn’t have before. \n \nProgression (Adult)\nDiscover the importance and power of body positioning and learn to navigate tight situations\, work on climbing and descending\, tackle tough features\, and practice cornering. This clinic spends more time on open trails and stops to session certain features. \nParticipants must be at least 15 years old to participate in Hale’s Adult MTB Clinics. \n \nIMPORTANT: Once you sign up for a clinic\, remember you must also register for the event on NEMBA’s site.\n\n\nMTB for More\nMountain bikers of all ages are drawn to Hale’s rugged\, varied terrain just miles from Boston’s city line\, and we’ve been eagerly expanding our youth mountain biking program over the years. \nHale MTB Camp focuses on skill-building and ride time for an existing community of young mountain bikers. SUMMARY:The Great Pumpkin Smash MTB Race
DESCRIPTION:Designed as an XC Olympic (XCO) format race\, the Great Pumpkin Smash will feature a 4-mile course on some of Hale’s best trails. \nFamily members are welcome to attend as spectators\, and are invited to compete with each other to determine whether kids or adults have the fastest lap. Juniors will tackle the course first\, and adults will follow later that morning. Fun and games in the venue area will entertain riders and non-riders alike. Team tents will be allowed and an area will be set up for them. This is a no-swag-all-brag\, run watcha brung\, old skool 3-podium finish race.  \nThe main course loop is available on Trailforks. \nSome segments will be added to loop that are shorter but with a higher degree of difficulty. They will be clearly marked and have signage. This will also be explained on race day. Our races tend to be interesting\, expect the unexpected route may be modified from the above link on race day.

Collectively\, the members of this group have toured throughout North America\, Asia\, and Europe. Sample their music here. \n\n\n\nTenille Ja’Nae\nArkansas-born singer/songwriter Tenille Ja’Nae is a rising R&B/soul artist who also fits comfortably in the adult contemporary genre. Ja’Nae taps into her experiences to create music that is real\, heartfelt\, and relevant. Her newest single\, “Quarantine\,” was released in 2023 and is one of her most personal tracks to date\, expressing her feelings of being alone\, and not wanting to be alone. She believes these themes play out beyond the pandemic. You can hear more of Ja’Nae’s work here. \n\n\n\nTokyo Tramps\nTokyo Tramps is an original rock ‘n’ roll unit with New Orleans grooves and Hendrix-inspired riffs. Hailing from Japan\, Satoru and Yukiko started creating music together more than two decades ago and have released nine original albums. What wildlife will you see on this family-friendly hike?\n\n\nRain Date: July 11\, 2024 \nEnjoy a few s’mores at 7 PM before heading out on a short\, family-friendly hike around South Beach at 7:45 PM. Together\, we’ll look for Hale’s crepuscular critters\, the animals that come out at dawn and dusk\, including deer\, rabbits\, raccoons\, opossums\, and foxes. The hike will take approximately 45 minutes. Appropriate footwear is recommended. All ages are welcome\, but please note the trail is not accessible to strollers. Feel free to bring your dinner and enjoy it al fresco at the picnic tables overlooking South Beach before we head out on our hike.
