Refund Policies

We understand plans change, but we also hope you’ll make camp a priority as you schedule summer activities and vacations! To help us prepare for safe, engaging, and well-staffed programs, payments for Hale Day Camp, Hale Adventure Camp, Hale Mountain Biking Camp, and Hale’s Youth Leadership Development Programs (LDPs) are subject to the following terms and conditions for the 2026 season.

Down Payments: Each registration requires a non-refundable down payment of $150 (one-week Camp sessions) or $300 (two-week Camp sessions and all Leadership Development Programs). This down payment is required per camper, per session.

Transfers: If space is available, session transfer requests will be honored at no cost through Jan. 15, 2026. Any transfer requests after Jan. 15 will be charged a $25 fee per transfer. A transfer is defined as a change in program or session and includes waitlist-related adjustments, e.g. dropping a camper’s enrollment in one session because space became available in a preferred session for which they were on a waitlist. If the transfer is to a program of higher value, the difference will be due at that time or added to future installments; if the transfer is to a program of lesser value, the difference will be credited to the account.

Refunds: Regular payments (except non-refundable down payments) are fully refundable until March 20, 2026. After that date, all payments are non-refundable.

Payment Deadline: Households that have opted for installment billing can expect final installments to automatically bill on April 15, 2026. All remaining balances are due at that time. Enrollment after that date requires payment in full at the time of registration.

Please note that campers who do not register for buses or complete all required forms are not permitted to attend camp. Transportation selections and paperwork are due no later than May 1, 2026. Families who register after May 1 are required to submit bus selections and paperwork no later than two weeks prior to their camper’s session start date. Hale does not issue credit, refunds, or offer “make-up days” for missed time at camp, regardless of reason.

A full refund will be issued for any School Vacation Days registration canceled at least 14 days prior to the program start date. Tuition and transportation fees are non-refundable within two weeks of the start date.

Each Season Pass purchase includes a non-refundable administrative fee of $50. Regular payments (except non-refundable administrative fees) are fully refundable until May 22, 2026. Starting May 23, 2026, all payments are non-refundable.

Swimming Lessons are fully refundable until 14 days prior to their respective start dates. Lessons are transferable within two weeks of their respective start dates. Lessons are non-refundable and non-transferable as of their respective start dates. Please note that lessons are held rain or shine. In the event of temporary waterfront closure (due to extreme weather or other unforeseen circumstances), credit is issued to a household’s account for any lesson(s) canceled by Hale.

South Beach Day Passes are non-refundable.

Annual memberships are non-refundable. Membership proceeds support the people, place, and programs that make Hale’s work possible, and we sincerely appreciate your investment in our effort to impact lives.

Public events that appear on Hale’s Events Calendar are eligible for refunds up to 30 days before the event and are non-refundable after that time. Ticketing platform fees (including Eventbrite, BikeReg, and others) are nonrefundable. For events with multiple instances, transfers may be possible at least 1 business day before the event. Public event registration fees may not be credited toward Hale’s programs.
