About This Event

Kick off summer with an open swim and s’mores by the fire. This ticketed event is free and open to the public.

Whether you’re new to Hale or you’re kicking off another season with Hale Summer Camps, Hale Outdoor Learning Adventures, or Hale’s Family and Community Program, we invite you to start your summer off with us at South Beach!

Open swim with lifeguards will take place from 5:00–7:15 PM, followed by a campfire and s’mores on the beach. We are offering a tour of Hale’s Family and Community Program sites at 6:00 PM. Hang out with old friends and meet new ones at this community event. All ages are welcome. When registering, order one ticket per vehicle. The entrance for South Beach is available via Bruné Way, opposite 576 Dover Road.

Hale Education, Inc. is a private nonprofit widely recognized for its flagship camps, youth programs, family and community activities, school partnerships, and professional development opportunities. It serves several thousand children and families from Greater Boston communities annually, and invites visitors to enjoy its 1,200 acres of forests, ponds, and meadows in Westwood and Dover, Massachusetts. Hale’s programs and land management practices are the legacy of its founder, Robert Sever Hale, who encouraged people to patronize his property in ways that were “charitable and benevolent in nature…to provide education which will develop intelligent, capable, and responsible citizens.
