Amy Aranda

Outdoor Learning Guide, Intrepid Academy at Hale

Amy supports high school students from Hale’s partner schools through experiential, place-based learning. She collaborates closely with teachers to integrate curricula into outdoor experiences and serves as a site coordinator for overnight programs that build leadership, confidence, and connection to nature. Before joining Hale, Amy was the Bilingual Program Coordinator at The Space in Idaho, designing afterschool programs for grades 6–12 with a focus on supporting recent immigrants and English learners through language development and community engagement. During her study abroad experience in Argentina, she participated in social justice workshops and helped organize community demonstrations in Córdoba. Originally from Sun Valley, Idaho, and now based in Somerville, Amy enjoys basketball, camping, backpacking, live music, and exploring new places. She earned a B.S. in Sociology and Spanish from Union College.
